Confusion and stress surrounding a current dilemma involving the need for a difficult decision, is very often my first point of contact with clients; they seek help because they're immobilised. Here is a 10-point guideline I encourage them to use to help contain the dilemma and keep it manageable, especially by defusing its appearance of urgency and a reason for unhealthy stress.

Clarifying Decision-making and Consensus Practices
Decision-making is one of those activities managers and leaders engage in hundreds of times daily, "making up the rules" on the way, without carefully-planned strategy and monitoring to make sure processes are fit for purpose. Wherever those improvisational practices affect others, there are significant limitations. Considerable efficiencies can be gained from a completely different approach.
